Be patient when playing online poker; don't let yourself get too carried away.

Don't play too many hands, that is the first red light that makes you stand out as an amateur.

Pay more attention to the board. Inexperienced poker players tend to focus too much on their hand and less on the board. Watching the board can help you estimate what other players are doing.

Mark the players from whom you think you should be careful, or the "generous" players whom with you want to play more.

Only play at two tables when you are succeeding at the given limit. Almost all players will not play as well if they are not able to focus on one game at a time. If you are taking over a specific limit, then you will probably be able to make more money by playing another game at the same time. But, if you are breaking even, losing, or only just winning, then stick to one game at a time.
