With so much sport coming up this week, why not try this now?!..............

The stand out game of the weekend in the Premier League could well be the stand out game of the season so far as Manchester United travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

United are undefeated this season and sit top of the table, three points clear of Chelsea with a game in hand.

However, wins for Arsenal and Manchester City coupled with a loss at Stamford Bridge could see United drop to fourth come Sunday night.

Chelsea made a slight return to form last weekend when they gained a point at Tottenham and had it not been for a Drogba penalty miss, they could have returned to top spot in the table. The champions have Lampard back now and will be looking to kick start their campaign with a win against their title rivals.

Of the other games in the Premier League this weekend, Arsenal can regain top spot for 24 hours at least when they face Stoke at home.

Managerless Blackburn face bottom club West Ham and speaking of managers, Roy Hodgson faces his old club Fulham when they travel to Liverpool.

Wigan could climb out of the bottom three with a win at home to Aston Villa whilst Birmingham will be looking to inflict defeat on Alan Pardew’s Newcastle.

Finally, on Monday night, Manchester City (presumably with Carlos Tevez in the side for the moment at least) host an inconsistent Everton side who will be desperate for some points.

Away from the Cricket and Football, the PDC World Darts Championship begins on Thursday with Phil ’The Power’ Taylor looking to win his 16th World title and retain the title that he beat Simon Whitlock for last year.

Whitlock will be expected to challenge Taylor again as will James Wade and Raymond Van Barneveld. Who will be crowned champion on January 3rd?
